The Meal Log is where your nutrition tracking happens: a simple daily diary of everything you eat. It takes less than a minute per meal once you get the rhythm.

Step 1: Pick a meal slot

Choose Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Snacks. Logging by slot keeps the day organized and later shows you when most of your calories land — useful if late-night snacking is your weakness.

Step 2: Search and add foods

Type the food name and pick it from the database — desi dishes included. Set the portion (grams, pieces, or cups) and add it. Eating something homemade or unlisted? Add it as a custom entry with your best estimate of calories and macros.

Step 3: Watch the day total

As you log, the day's totals update: calories plus protein, carbs, and fat. Compare against the targets from your TDEE calculation — the Nutrition Tracker visualizes the same numbers as progress bars.

Step 4: Build the habit

Log as you eat, not at midnight — memory lies, and forgotten snacks are the #1 reason logs look "perfect" while weight stalls. Even a rough log beats a perfect one you quit after three days. Aim for consistency, not precision.

FAQs

How precise do my entries need to be?
Consistency beats precision. Estimate portions honestly (a food scale helps for the first weeks), log everything including oils and drinks, and do it daily. A roughly-right log you maintain beats a perfect log you abandon.
Can I log homemade desi food?
Yes — search the database for the dish or its main ingredients first. If it is missing, add a custom entry with your best estimate. Over time your frequent foods become quick to re-add.
Is my meal history saved?
Members' meal logs are saved to their accounts permanently. Guests can use the log, but nothing is stored once they leave.
