How to Use the Nutrition Tracker

See your whole day at a glance: calories, protein, carbs, and fat vs. your personal targets — updated automatically from your meal log.

The Nutrition Tracker is your daily dashboard: one screen showing what you have eaten against what your body needs. It pulls entries from your Meal Log automatically, so there is nothing extra to fill in.

Step 1: Know your targets

Your calorie target comes from your BMR & TDEE result, and your macro targets (protein, carbs, fat) are calculated from it. A common starting split is around 25–30% protein, 40–45% carbs, 25–30% fat — the tracker shows all three as simple progress bars.

Step 2: Log meals normally

Just use the Meal Log through the day. Every entry flows into the tracker instantly: the calorie bar fills, the protein bar climbs, and you can see at a glance whether dinner should be protein-heavy or light.

Step 3: Read the day at a glance

Green bars mean on track; bars far below target by evening mean you have room left; overshooting regularly means portions need a tweak. Do not chase perfection daily — aim for your targets on average across the week.

Step 4: Spot patterns weekly

Check your history: are weekends always over target? Is protein always low? The tracker makes patterns visible, and visible patterns are fixable — add a high-protein breakfast, or pre-log weekend dinners.

FAQs

Do I need to enter food twice — in the meal log and tracker?
No. Log once in the Meal Log and the tracker updates automatically. The tracker is a read-only dashboard built from your logged meals.
What macro split should I aim for?
A balanced starting point is roughly 25–30% of calories from protein, 40–45% from carbs, and 25–30% from fat. Active people and dieters usually benefit from the higher end of protein. Adjust to what you can sustain.
Is my data saved?
Yes — members' tracker history is saved to their account so weekly patterns are visible. Guests can try the tools, but their data is not stored.
